Article 47
Serious Infringements
A player is sent off if he commits any of the following offences (cf. Law 12 of the Laws of the Game and art. 18 of this code):
i) serious foul play such as excessive or brute force;
j) violent conduct such as brutal or aggressive actions;
k) spitting at an opponent or any other person;
l) denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball;
m) denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity to an opponent mov- ing towards the player’s goal by committing an offence punishable by a free kick or a penalty kick;
n) using offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures;
o) second caution during the same match (cf. art. 17 par. 2).
