MAJORITY RULES
Unless otherwise specified herein, decisions are taken by a simple majority of the votes cast. To amend these General Statutes, a majority of two-thirds (2/3) of the votes cast is necessary. Abstentions and invalid votes do not count. ARTICLE 44: CONFLICT OF INTEREST Members of the Central Board, the Executive Committee, FIBA Commissions or any other body of FIBA must not participate in any deliberation or decision that would expose them to a conflict of interest. In particular, they must abstain from voting on a bid for the right to conduct an official competition of FIBA while ever their own national member federation remains in the vote.
