FIFA presidential election 2027 – call for election

Dear Sir or Madam,

The FIFA Council, acting in accordance with art icle 64 par agraph 1 of the FIFA Governance Regulations, hereby calls the FIFA presidential election 202 7, which will take place at the 7 7 th FIFA Congress , to be held in Rabat, Morocco , on 18 March 202 7.

In accordance with article 64 paragraph 2 of the FIFA Governance Regulations , the call for election shall contain the electoral period and the electoral calendar. Therefore, p lease find enclosed the call for election , including the electoral period and the electoral calendar.

All relevant documentation will also be available on FIFA.com.

Call for election

The FIFA Council, acting in accordance with article 64 paragraph 1 of the FIFA Governance Regulations, hereby calls the FIFA presidential election 2027, which will take place at the 77 th FIFA Congress , to be held in Rabat , Morocco, on 18 March 202 7.

Governance, Audit and Compliance Committee

The Governance, Audit and Compliance Committee (GACC) has formed an electoral committee of three members: Mr Bruno Chiomento (chairperson of the GACC), Mr Chris Mihm (deputy chairperson of the GACC) and Ms Molly Rh one (member of the GACC) , who shall assume the duties defined in article 81 of the FIFA Governance Regulations with regard to the election procedures.

Electoral period

The electoral period for the FIFA presidential election 2027 is from the opening of the 76 th FIFA Congress on 30 April 2026 until the end of the 77 th FIFA Congress . During this period, electoral campaigning is permitted (cf. article 66 paragraph 3 of the FIFA Governance Regulations) and shall be carried out in accordance with the principles and provisions contained in the FIFA Statutes, the FIFA Governance Regulatio ns and any other relevant FIFA regulations.

Electoral calendar

The FIFA Council has established the electoral calendar applicable with regard to the FIFA presidential election 2027. All Member Associations are invited to propose candidates for the position of FIFA President in accordance with the deadlines specified i n the electoral calendar and with the relevant provisions of the FIFA Statutes and the FIFA Governance Regulations.

Notification

The present call for election will also be published on the FIFA website (cf. article 64 paragraph 3 of the FIFA Governance Regulations).
